Rates
All published rates include VAT. The Kilmarnock Arms Hotel (“hotel”) reserves the right to alter prices for any reason.

Availability
All rooms and rates offered by the hotel are subject to availability and at the discretion of the proprietors.
Limited numbers of suitable rooms may be allocated to individual rates, packages or promotions and, when these allocations are taken up, remaining available rooms may be offered to the Client (“guest”) at a higher price where the guest requires such rooms.

Bookings
Bookings must be guaranteed for the first night's accommodation with a major credit or debit card or by agreement in writing with a company, travel agent or hotel booking agency.
At the discretion of the hotel, full prepayment may be required.

Arrival and Departure
Bedrooms are usually available from 3pm local time on the day of arrival. Our departure time is 11.00am.
Where an early arrival or a late departure is required, the hotel will endeavour to meet any requests.
A small supplementary charge may be required, if additional staffing is required outside of the normal housekeeping hours.

Car Parking
The hotel offers complimentary car parking, however, no responsibility is accepted for damage to, or theft from, or theft of vehicles parked on the premises.

Cancellations, Amendments and Non-arrivals
For reservations up to and including 4 bedrooms, there will be no cancellation charge if a booking is cancelled before 12 noon the day prior to your date of arrival, however if the booking is cancelled later, we reserve the right to charge your card if we are unable to re-let the room/s.
In the case of a no-show, the first night will automatically be charged.
For reservations of 5 or more bedrooms we operate a 14 day cancellation policy, with the same terms as previously stated, however we will remain flexible on number fluctuations.
Please note that all cancellations & fluctuations are required in writing.

Payment
Settlement of the bill in full, less any advance payments, must be made prior to departure from the hotel, unless an account has been previously agreed.

Children
Children aged 15 years and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times to ensure that the children's behaviour is appropriate for other guests.

Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in any areas of hotel, including the guest bedrooms.
The hotel reserves the right to make an appropriate charge to guests for deep cleaning of rooms, should a guest be found to have been smoking.
We also reserve the right to make additional charges, should the hotel deem that the room is not able to be let out for the next guest/s.

Dogs and Other Pets
Normal domestic pets are accepted solely at the discretion of the hotel, in advance, provided that they are kept strictly under control and provided that they are clean, free from disease and not dangerous.
A small charge will be made for each pet, except for guide dogs and hearing dogs.

Behaviour
The hotel reserves the right to judge acceptable levels of noise or behaviour guests, who must take all steps for corrective action as requested by the hotel.
In the event of failure to comply with management requests, the hotel may terminate the booking, stop any event immediately and / or ask the guest to vacate the hotel premises immediately without being liable for any refund or compensation.

Right of Refusal
The hotel reserves the right to refuse entry and accommodation if, on arrival, management reasonably considers that the guest is under the influence of drink or drugs, is unsuitably dressed or is behaving in a threatening, abusive or otherwise unacceptable manner.

Discrimination
It is the policy of the hotel not to discriminate on the grounds of race, colour, nationality, religion, sex, marital status, age, ethnic origin or disability.
Guests are expected to adhere to this policy and the hotel may, without incurring any liability to the guest, remove from the hotel any person or persons offending against this policy.

External Purchases
No wines, spirits, beers or food may be brought into the hotel or its grounds by guests without the express written consent of the hotel.

Internet Facilities
Internet facilities are provided by third party providers and are complementary to our guests. Should there be a disruption to the connection the hotel shall not be liable for such disruption.

Comments and Complaints
Any comment or complaint should be made to the Manager at the time of visit so that we can try to resolve the matter immediately.

Statutory Requirements
The hotel is subject to statutory controls, including those relating to fire, licensing, entertainment, health, hygiene and safety. These must be strictly observed by guests.

Insurance
Guests are recommended to make their own insurance arrangements to cover cancellation, curtailment, and loss of baggage, personal effects and money.

Liability
Other than for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the hotel, the hotel’s liability to guests is limited to the price of the booking. The guest indemnifies the hotel from and against any and all liability and any claims, proceedings or damages resulting or arising from the booking, event or function or the guests.
The hotel will not be liable for failure to perform to the extent that the failure is caused by any factor beyond its reasonable control.
The hotel does not accept any responsibility for guests’ personal property. Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the allocated rooms, its furnishings, fixtures and fittings and equipment in such rooms by any act, omission, default or neglect of the guest and shall pay to the hotel on demand the amount required to make good or remedy any such damage.
Guests should ensure that valuables are covered by their own insurance policy. The hotel’s liability is limited to the terms of the Hotel Proprietors Act 1956. Guests must report any loss of or damage to their property immediately on discovery to the Manager. Guests shall not enter areas of the hotel which are indicated as being closed to the public.
The hotel shall not be responsible for death, personal injury or loss or damage to property suffered by a guest in such areas.
